<image:title>Collections - SERENITY</image:title>
<image:caption>“Nature is the best medicine for serenity. Peace, calmness, stillness. It’s good for the heart.” - Karen Madewell. I love being in nature. I connect instantly and it helps me to ground myself. But what does it actually mean to be serene? The official description is : ‘being happy, calm, loose’. How do you do it? Are you calling into yourself, calming down and searching for some answers inside? Are you looking for happiness? My ladies postures are indicating the so much needed hug, embracing the Self, searching for answers to their dreams in self-love mode. We have to love ourself first, because we can only appreciate the love of others when we are accepting us in full: as beauty and enough as we are. Serenity is the magical moment with ourself that can lead us to this appreciation.</image:caption>

<image:title>Collections - AND THEN SHE SMILED</image:title>
<image:caption>¨Smile is the beauty of the soul.¨- Lailah Gifty Akita What happens when you tell her that she is beautiful? That she is loved and appreciated? It is known that Irish women cannot take compliments, but have you tried? And kept trying? The result is always the same: A SMILE. The 16 little women in this collection, only 20cm in hight, have just been told this. With initial hesitation they are looking inside to confirm the truth being told outside, some with pride and some with humbleness. The idea for this collection comes from videos I came across on YouTube; student projects with really beautiful outcomes. So many women are not told enough how much they are appreciated and how beautiful they are, inside and out. Lets change this! Because after all: A Smile Has Healing Power.</image:caption>

<image:title>Collections - AT PEACE - HEALING FROM INSIDE</image:title>
<image:caption>“What’s the greatest lesson a woman should learn? That since day one, she’s already had everything she needs within herself. It’s the world that convinced her she did not.” (Rupi Kaur) We are buried under the many layers we have added on, throughout life for protection and survival- caused by jealousy, harassment, indoctrination, control, denial, narcissism, intolerance, arrogance, ignorance, violence, loneliness, abandonment… the list is long and many of us can surely tick at least one of the above or could add even more. My ladies in this collection are on their way to healing - through their inner journey. We all have it in us; let’s learn to be at peace and find it: - being enough - being YOU again.</image:caption>

<image:title>Collections - PRINCESSES</image:title>
<image:caption>“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” (Oprah Winfrey) Princesses are notorious for being arrogant, dismissive, royal, snobbish, stuck-up and with an attitude. My princesses in this collection may look like this, however they are kindhearted and stand firm for what they represent. They are a joy to be around - I can assure you- and proud to be princesses.</image:caption>

<image:title>Collections - LIPS & LASHES</image:title>
<image:caption>“We all have a ‘Wonder Woman’ inside of us.” This eclectic collection of colourful ceramic busts is based on happiness and internal feelings that are freely expressed and represent life’s enjoyment. All we have is this very moment: now is the time to fill it with love & happiness. The ladies’ extraordinary eye lashes and red lips emphasise their femininity and are made with love, clay, glazes and heat.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” ― Pablo Picasso</image:title>
<image:caption>I doodled and drew a lot when I was young, but I did not pursue it; it took an Irish man (my now husband and artist himself) who I met in my home town of Berlin to open that ‘art box’ for me again. Berlin has sooo much ART to offer that my innate passion had been reawakened; it felt like a new life. I knew finally what was missing. “Clay has a memory” I was taught when I took up pottery evening classes in early 2008 at Grennan Mill Craft School in Thomastown, Kilkenny, just after my relocation from Berlin, Germany, in 2007. After a few series of classes I set up my own studio at home, added a kiln et voilà! I did not stop since! I began with small sculptures and for many years I created FISH in any form and colour as ‘bringer of luck and good fortune’, which derived from my upbringing by my superstitious Ukraine mother (which I thoroughly embraced) as well as collections of framed ceramic wall pieces. While the Covid pandemic in 2021 I rediscovered my love for making sculptures; a new start & back to the roots, focusing on creating women sculptures, with the occasional appearance of quirky animals. From 2023 I was attending markets more often; e.g Winterval and others in Waterford, offering funny animal tiles and sculptures for a small budget. I am holding workshops every month in my studio, with limited places- please contact me for enquiries. You can find some framed work displayed in the Restaurant ‘ESPRESSO’ in Parnell St. Waterford. My studio is based in Mooncoin, South-Kilkenny, just at the door steps of Waterford. I am open for HEN party enquiries. EVENTS: 2025- 11.
